Breiting are delighted to produce the official watches to commemorate this historic milestone.
The Battle of Britain was pivotal to the outcome of the Second World War,
and as such history will remember the part played by the RAF and all support personnel.
The emotional key phrase "Lest We Forget" will endure forever.
The limited
edition watches will be produced as a lasting tribute to the Spitfire,
Hurricane and the Lancaster Bomber. A maximum of 200 watches featuring the
image of each aeroplane will be produced to ensure that this remains a truly
memorable limited edition. Breitling will provide a certificate of
authenticity signed by the Officer Commanding of the BBMF. The special
official 50th Anniversary BBMF logo will be illustrated on the dial. The
Aerospace Avantage has been chosen by and remains a firm favourite with the
Royal Navy, RAF and many other international air forces. Produced in
Titanium it is an extremely light, yet sturdy watch. The additional feature
of a backlight display makes this watch the most superior multi-functional
chronograph.
In addition it is anticipated that 25 numbered boxed sets will be
produced featuring all three watches.
A substantial amount of the proceeds of this limited edition watch will
be given directly to the BBMF in the hope that these wonderful aeroplanes
are preserved for the nation in perpetuity.
